England Team Selection Announced: Jude and Phil Omitted, Bukayo Returns
The England manager has opted to stick with the identical Three Lions selection that triumphed against Andorra and produced a stellar display in Serbia during the previous international break, leaving no room for Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden in his group for the upcoming friendly against the Welsh side and the qualifying match in Latvia.
Despite Phil Foden making a strong case for a return to the squad after rediscovering his form at Manchester City, and Bellingham having returned for Real Madrid following a surgical procedure, the head coach has decided against including two of the nation's biggest offensive stars. The young midfielder has been in the starting lineup only once for his team since his return.
The England boss has found space for the Arsenal winger, who is fully recovered and has been restored in place of his unavailable club colleague Noni Madueke. Jack Grealish has not been handed a recall.

The national team coach expressed his admiration for the vibrancy in the previous selection and seems intent on maintaining the vibe. Tino Livramento, who featured at left-back in the convincing victory in Serbia, has dropped out due to a knock. The manager has opted against selecting a like-for-like substitute for the Newcastle player but has selected the Manchester City defender, who had to pull out previously. Tuchel has discussed the Manchester City defender's significance for England and has floated the idea of using him in midfield.
There is no place for the midfielder, who was called up last month but withdrew injured and was replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The manager stated: “A mere three weeks since the previous gathering and the most recent victory, the last performance, so the question was why not bring the same group in because they established a benchmark. The focus now is on creating habits out of it. We have unfortunately two injuries at the moment with Tino and Madueke and we welcome of course the Arsenal forward in to take the place of Noni. Jarell Quansah was a last-minute addition previously; he will stay in camp.”
