AC Shadows Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a bizarre collaboration that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden group.
The questline focuses on "strange trials and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Bonus Material
Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an special katana together with numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
